SUBJECT: Proposed Amendment to Resolution No. 243-25: A Resolution Authorizing the
Payment of Funds of Later Fiscal Years for an Extension of a Multi -Year Lease
Agreement for Real Property to be Used by the Hawaii Police Department.
Transmitted herewith is a proposed amendment to Resolution No. 243-25. The amendment is
shown below in Ramseyer format with respect to the content of Resolution No. 243-25; material
to be deleted is bracketed and stricken. Due to the limited scope of this proposed amendment, a
copy of the new draft of this resolution that would result if it were adopted is not attached.
1. Resolution No. 243-25 is amended by amending the fifth WHEREAS clause to read as
follows:
"WHEREAS, the Department continues to need this commercial warehouse space for
storage from Lessor for an additional five (5) year period commencing on July 1, 2025, through
and ending June 30, 2030; [and with an option to extendanother-five (5) � needed;] 1 >i and"
2. Resolution No. 243-25 is further amended by amending the enacting clause to read as
follows:
"BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I that the
Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a multi -year lease extension with the Lessor, for an
additional five (5) year period commencing on July 1, 2025, through and ending June 30, 2030,
