COUNTY OF HAWAI`I STATE OF HAWAI`I RESOLUTION NO. 246 25 A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO USA VOLLEYBALL INC., DBA MOKU O KEAWE, TO ASSIST WITH EXPENSES FOR THE HAWAI`I ISLAND LABOR DAY CLASSIC VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT. WHEREAS, USA Volleyball Inc., dba Moku O Keawe, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that is dedicated to becoming a world leader in volleyball by developing, standardizing, and coordinating local volleyball activities and providing a competitive, safe, and healthy environment for members to compete in the sport of volleyball; and WHEREAS, USA Volleyball Inc., dba Moku O Keawe, is requesting funds for luau food for a community -focused luau style awards banquet as part of its Hawaii Island Labor Day Classic Volleyball Tournament, which will serve a public purpose by benefiting, improving, or promoting the interests and needs of the poor, youth, the aged, and those with physical or emotional disabilities; and BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I that, in accordance with section 2-139(a)(2)(C) of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2016 Edition, as amended), Contingency Relief funds from Council District 8 are hereby transferred to the Department of Parks and Recreation to provide a grant to USA Volleyball Inc., dba Moku O Keawe for the expenses and purposes identified in "Exhibit A," a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, in the following amount as set forth below: FUND: General AMOUNT OF APPROPRIATION: $4,000 OUT AND FROM: 010.101.5101.91 Clerk -Council SVC — Contingency Relief $4,000 CREDITED TO: 010.500.5503.02 Department of Parks and Recreation $4,000 P&R Admin OCE 115 Misc.
