I write as an individual in support of Council Res. 233-25, which supports the continuation of a
very successful program which enables Hawaii Police Department officers to enroll in a
University of Hawaii program that will eventually lead to the attainment of a Bachelor of Arts in
the Administration of Justice program.
Continuing Education is very important for anyone in a manageriaUsupervisory position. Access
to continued professional development programs should be embraced and supported. Successful
completion will benefit the individuals involved and the Hawaii County Police Department.
