Subject: Opposition to Hawaii's General Plan 2045
I oppose the current Hawaii County Plan as written. Here are my comments.
Hawaii General Plan 2045 Map Concerns:
• Most of Hawaii will turn into Conservation or Natural land. That is not what the people want. It should be
that most of Hawaii becomes AG land, not Conservation. We need to grow more food and become food
secure.
• Why does the State want to conserve most of the coast line? This means more rules and regulations
for that area which is supposed to be free access to the people especially native Hawaiians. People
have the right to own coast land.
• How are Hawaii homelands supposed to give land back to native Hawaiians from the State if it's all
Conservation of Natural land?
• Homeowners have gotten letters stating their land will change from residential to recreational this
lowers their property value. That is stealing from that family and their future generations. That is a
criminal act and MUST not be allowed!
