COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAI`I RESOLUTION NO. 2GO 25 A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO USA VOLLEYBALL, INC., FOR EXPENSES RELATING TO THE HAWAI`I ISLAND LABOR DAY CLASSIC VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT. WHEREAS, USA Volleyball, Inc. (UVI), doing business as Moku O Keawe, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to be the world leader in volleyball by 1) developing, standardizing, and coordinating volleyball activities on a local level, 2) developing players, coaches, and officials on a local level, 3) providing an opportunity for members to participate and improve their volleyball skills, and 4) providing a competitive, safe, and healthy environment for members to compete in the sport of volleyball; and WHEREAS, UVI is requesting funds to help defray the cost of supplies and officiating for the Hawaii Island Labor Day Classic Volleyball Tournament, which will serve a public purpose by benefiting, improving, or promoting the interests of the poor, youth, the aged, and those with physical or emotional disabilities; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I that, in accordance with section 2-139(a)(2)(C) of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2016 Edition, as amended), Contingency Relief funds from Council District 6 are hereby transferred to the Department of Liquor Control to provide a grant to UVI for the expenses and purposes identified in "Exhibit A," a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, in the following amount as set forth below: FUND: General AMOUNT OF APPROPRIATION: $2,500 OUT AND FROM: 01.0.101.5101.91 Clerk -Council SVC — Contingency Relief $2,500 CREDITED TO: 010.251.5251.39 Department of Liquor Control $2,500 Public Programs 115 Misc.
