RESOLUTION NO. 2G:1 25
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PURCHASE REPLACEMENT CHAIRS FOR
THE SGT. RODNEY J.T. YANO MEMORIAL HALL COMMUNITY FACILITY IN
SOUTH KONA.
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation, Recreation Division needs
replacement chairs for the Sgt. Rodney J.T. Yano Memorial Hall (Yano Hall) community facility
in South Kona; and
WHEREAS, the Yano Hall facility regularly hosts kupuna programs as well as
community events, and the current chair inventory is comprised of a variety of well -aged,
mismatched, and potentially unsafe chairs; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation is requesting funds to purchase
replacement chairs which will be used and stored at the Yano Hall community facility, which
will help to ensure safety for all activities, patrons, and employees; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I that
Contingency Relief funds from Council District 6 will be appropriated to the Department of
Parks and Recreation to purchase replacement chairs for the Sgt. Rodney J.T. Yano Memorial
Hall community facility in South Kona.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby
transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and Director of Finance, and that the Director
of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of
this resolution.
