Dear esteemed council member,
Please oppose bill 51.
Years ago my neighbor trapped my cats and relocated them.
don't know where, but knowing that there were colonies on island where people fed them helped ease
my anxiety.
I had worked hard to trap cats at Kua Bay and have them spayed and neutered so that there wouldn't be a
colony there.
I understand that there's sometimes a conflict between Nene and cats and know that there's a good
solution.
There's places in this world that I have had the opportunity to visit where they embrace their wildlife and
it makes it part of the charm of the place.
My wish for the Big Island is that we can extend our Aloha to others that may need our help and to be a
kind, beautiful, loving, caring place.
Criminalizing people who are compassionate enough to feed cats is not the answer.
