Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 241-25, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 241-25, transmitted by Finance Director Diane Nakagawa via Communication
No. 385, dated July 3, 2025, accepts the donation of security camera systems to the County of Hawaii
Department of Parks of Recreation.
The donation of security camera systems from Blue Shield Security Hawaii, with an estimated value of
$4,500, would be installed at the Pana`ewa Park and Covered Play Courts in Pana`ewa Hawaii.
Recreation Director Alex Walker and District Supervisor Royden Chow were available in chambers for
questions.
Committee Member Dennis "Fresh" Onishi commented in support of this measure and also commented
on a vandalism incident at the Waiakea Uka Park facilities and inquired if his office could assist with the
purchase of a system for the park as well. Mr. Chow commented that the support would be appreciated.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 241-25, and
recommends its adoption.
