OPPOSE BILL 51 regarding the CRIMINALIZATION of feeding the Community cats.
I strongly oppose this bill. This would criminalize good, caring people who are spending their own time
and money and trying, without any government support mind you, to manage cats and cat colonies.
These are the people who get the cats fixed! Nobody else is doing this. Leaving the cats alone means
more dead birds, more sick cats spreading diseases, and more cats period! I am utterly disgusted by
this bill. There should instead be a bill that supports the management of colonies and helps ensure all
cats can get fixed. This bill will only make the problem worse while criminalizing good, morally
upstanding people. This bill would also enforce animal cruelty, which is illegal.
