Managed colonies of "wild" or "feral" cats are nearly domesticated in that they come to the people feeding them, behave at the feeders, and even purr when those feeding them give them skritches. Those colonies allow the keepers to monitor the cats for illness and injury, and have them treated by professionals (paid for with donations or their own monies). Forcing those cats to fend for themselves can cause the death of more birds, can spread disease to other cats (including your indoor -outdoor pets), and can cause enormous painful suffering for the animals and their offspring (offspring that are not produced by cats in managed colonies). Vote no on this bill. Caroline Kane 77-6495 Marlin Road Kailua Kona 96740 Caroline M.
