This Bill is a bad option at best. By prohibiting efforts to care for feral cats„ this bill also prohibits our community from engaging in trapping and sterilizing feral cats. This can only result in unchecked population growth which will further endanger bird populations, some of which are endangered. By allowing and encouraging population management of feral cat populations, the county is saving itself money in the long run. County funded shelters will have lower populations and thus will need to spend Less on staffing and animal upkeep, as well as the cost of euthanizing animals in their care. Please reject this piece of bad policy No on 51! " o cCID Sincerely, -- - Joel Kelley, c IC-, Kurtistown. s- 808-966-5522 -' C-) Comm. No. IR Ref. To: Ref. Dale LQ
