Subject: Oppose bill 51
I oppose bill 51 disallowing the feeding of community cats on county property. You will cause
unnecessary suffering and starvation of a species that deserves to be cared for. What you should be
advocating for is a well managed feeding situation which can be worked out with caretakers. The issue is
not black and white and it will reflect negatively on the Big Island. Please work with those in your
community to find an acceptable solution for everyone. Aloha
