OPPOSE BILL 51
Dear Council, in Particular, Matt Kleinfelder & Dennis Onishi,
We are writing to oppose Bill 51 that states there will be no feeding of cats on County land.
We oppose criminalizing people who try to manage and feed the stray, feral cat population.
Apparentlyyou have both voted "NO" on two grants for Spay and Neuter programs which makes no
sense.
Unfortunately too many people dump their animals and too many do not spay and neuter, so more
unwanted animals are created.
You need to be doing something to help mitigate the stray/feral homeless cat population, not criminalize
people trying to do something about it.
Please do not pass this bill.
