Oppose Bill 51....
Please soundly oppose and kill this Bill. Attempted starvation does absolutely nothing to positively
address Hawai' is cat population challenge, and simply penalizes community members who are taking
solid steps to deal with this issue. Hungry cats (both feral and dumped -domesticated ones) will seek out
food wherever they can, bringing such felines into inhabited areas. Starvation leads to ill -health, and
such illness and disease will also be brought into the suburbs.
There will also need to be a proliferation of signage, indicating which is / is not "County Land."
Hawai' i needs a realistic solution to the cat challenge, and insensitive, harsh legislation such as this Bill
offers nothing, and with nought to build upon.
Please OPPOSE BILL 51.
