OPPOSE BILL 51
I strongly oppose this bill, as it is very cruel and unnecessary 11 have been involved in TNR here in South Kohala for 8
years. We also monitor and pick up sick ,feeble, and injured cats and put them down as needed. We often give worm and
flea meds as well , out of our own pockets .... as far as the Nene and other birds are concerned, feeders can feed after
dark,most of us do anyway, and when we trap its at night as well, because of the mongoose, also Nene proof feeders
have been constructed .....when ferals that have been spayed and neutered and returned ,have been used to getting food
,then all of a sudden stop, they are forced to go closer to stores restaurants houses condos and the like.Besides,if there IS
a ban, people who are animal lovers will find a way to feed them regardless of the consequences ... May as well work with
us, as it is a HUGE problem ....The way we work,we are fostering and adopting out cats and kittens and kupuna cats as
we go along with out program ... we even ship cats to the mainland.Please reconsider ...strongly urging you to...
