This Volunteer Enforcement Program mirrors a similar program established and managed by the Honolulu Police Department. There has been a significant improvement regarding the proper use of accessible parking spaces in our Oahu community since the program became permanent in 1999. The Board supports the establishment of a volunteer program for the County of Hawaii. Thank you for the opportunity to provide comment on this issue.
