Council Testimony
Subject:
OPPOSE BILL 51
It condones cruelty to animals by eliminating feeding stations for feral cats, which are used to identify
and address colonies through TNR programs and aid sick or injured cats.
Heather Irwin's statement makes a case for viable alternatives to address the feral cat problem which
doesn't involve starving them or encouraging further predation of native and endangered species.
Instead, go after the people who abandon cats (and other domestic animals) by increasing enforcement,
fines and punishments for those caught.
