Humans have brought cats and other animals and irresponsibly did not get them fixed and then released them in the wild. We are trying to help the situation by doing the Trap, Neuter, Release (TNR) programs: 1) Volunteers: --trap --neuter/spay --give 1 st sets of vaccinations --deflea --deworm --put ID chips in them --ear tip them so we know they've been fixed & chipped already! (Males are ear -tipped on the right ear, females are ear -tipped on -the left ear.) ,, Then we return them to where we've found them and we feed them back in the colony where they were found. Why is this a huge issue when we feed them at night when all the birds including nenes and chickens and other birds are all asleep or roosting? We LOVE NENES and don't want anything to happen to them. But there is no proof any have been hurt or died within the cat feeding stations. There have been quite a few incidents of nenes getting hurt or killed on the golf courses by GOLFERS-- who purposefully try to hit them! Please let's work together to fix this problem that we've created. Cats can have a litter of kittens every 60-ish days!!! By feeding these feral cats (after they've been fixed), we keep them out of the resorts and trash around folks' homes. Comm.. ^ D, gl Ref. Tat 1 Ref. Dale 2.L - 8 2025 Thankyou so much! Let's be a part of the solution, not create more problems!!! Aloha, M is Wright
