RE: Resolution to Enter into Interdepartmental Agreement -- Lehia Beach Park
Dear Chair Inaba and Hawaii County Council Members:
Enclosed is a resolution to enter into an agreement with the State of Hawaii, Department of
Hawaiian Home Lands (DHHL). The agreement is in the form of a Memorandum of Agreement
to clarify the expectations of each party. DHHL desires to provide secure and controlled ingress
and egress through the land identified by Tax Map Key Nos. (3) 2-1-013:005 and 006, also
known as Lehia Beach Park, situated at Keaukaha, South Hilo, Island, County, and State of
Hawaii (hereinafter "Lehia Beach Park").
