RE: Resolution to Enter into Interdepartmental Agreement — Hualani Park

Enclosed is a resolution to enter into an agreement with the State of Hawaii, Department of
Hawaiian Home Lands for the County of Hawai`i's continued management of Hualani, a portion
of that certain parcel of Hawaiian home lands located in Keaukaha, Island of Hawaii, identified
as Tax Map Key No. (3) 2-1-023:120. The agreement is in the form of a License Agreement,
identified as License Agreement No. 882. Department of Parks and Recreation desires to
continue to manage the operation and maintenance of the Hualani Park Complex, which includes
the Hualani Park and the Kawananakoa Gym in Keaukaha, Hawaii.
The term of this License is for thirty (30) years retroactively as of August 1, 2017, and expiring
on July 31, 2047.
