RE: Resolution to Enter into Interdepartmental Agreement — Federal Aviation Administration
Dear Chair Inaba and Hawaii County Council Members:
Enclosed is a resolution to enter into an agreement with the United States of America, Federal
Aviation Administration, for a Lease of Real Property at the Gilbert Kahele Recreation Area.
The Federal Aviation Administration desires to enter into an agreement with the -County of
Hawaii for a lease of approximately sixty-four square feet (64 sq. ft.) of real property, located
on a portion of the land identified by Tax Map Key No. (3) 4-4-016:003, also known as the
Gilbert Kahele Recreation Area.
The purpose of this lease agreement is to allow the FAA to place four (4) aviation weather
cameras and one (1) weather instrument on top of an existing water tower and to install a non -
penetrating wooden platform.
