Resolution Pursuant to Hawaii County Code � 2-188
Dear Chairman Inaba and Hawaii County Council Members:
Transmitted herewith for Council approval is a Resolution and its Exhibit A, pursuant to
Hawaii County Code § 2-188, authorizing indemnification of a former County employee who is
named as the individual defendant in the above -referenced lawsuit. Trial is set to begin on
January 26, 2026.
We respectfully request to be placed on the Committee Meeting agenda for August 19,
2025, followed by County Council Meeting on September 3, 2025.
