SUBJECT: Transmitting Bill No. 60, Draft 3; an Ordinance Amending Chapter 25, Articles 1,
2, 4, 5, and 7, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2016 Edition, as Amended),
Relating to Zoning Regulations for Meeting Facilities, Churches, Temples,
Synagogues, and Community Buildings.
Transmitted herewith is Bill No. 60, Draft 3. During its meeting on August 5, 2025, the Policy
Committee on Planning, Land Use, and Economic Development amended Bill No. 60, Draft 2,
with the contents of Communication No. 313.29, resulting in the attached draft.
The Committee then recommended passage of Bill No. 60, as amended to Draft 3, at first
reading.
