I RESPECTFULLY REQUEST that the Hawaii council reject the animal bill 51 that attaches a fine to the
compassionate people who feed the "thrown away" cats on the island of Hawaii,
There are NUMEROUS OTHER positive options to SERIOUSLY consider...
for 1... attach a $500.00 fine to those who refuse to spay neuter their dogs and cats, and to those
"throwing" these creatures away.
Fine the abusers and put video cameras up to catch the perpetrators,
I have resided on big island now for approximately 20 years, and all these years, the "authorities" have
just been taking all the funding delegated for spay/neuter and not using the funds and donations for their
intended purpose, why?
Now this bill will starve innocent beings and punish even the ones trying to help them.
This is an assault against humanity itself by punishing those who express COMPASSION,
If your plan is to fine the ones caring for these throw aways, then you are weaponizing a basic human
quality called COMPASSION, using coercion, threats and intimidation, and robbing resources needed for
this care,
Why don't you fine the people breeding these cats and the ones throwing them away?
why don't you fine those unwilling to spay and neuter their animals? They are the cause of this problem,
There are people this very moment breeding cats and selling them for $2000.00 a cat? Are you getting any
kickback for those sales? some of those very expensive cats get lost, breed and contribute to this
debacle,
There is a destiny that makes us brothers and sisters, NONE goes their way alone, what you bring into the
Lives of other INCLUDING innocent sentient beings, comes back into your own like a boomerang
PLEASE WAKE UP and make WISE and compassionate laws, forALL concerned
