Subject: OPPOSE Bill 51 in person testimony - location issues
A member of our organization went to the advertised Pahoa location to testify in opposition. This was the
text she just sent me:
"Well, the only lady there just left for an appointment. There is a squatter house next door and we were
getting shouted at and verbally harassed, so I didn't feel safe staying there even though she offered to
open it back up and reconnect and cancel her appointment.
Hopefully my written testimony is good enough. Next time I'll just go to Hilo."
