SUBJECT: Transmits Bill No. 64, Draft 2; An Ordinance to Initiate an Amendment to Article
VI, Chapter 2, Section 6-2.2, of the Charter of the County of Hawaii (2024
Edition), Relating to the Director of Public Works.
Transmitted herewith is Bill No. 64, Draft 2. During its meeting on September 2, 2025, the
Committee on Governmental Operations and External Affairs amended Bill No. 64 with the
contents of Communication No. 334.16, resulting in the attached draft.
The Committee then voted to postpone Bill No. 64, as amended to Draft 2, to the meeting
scheduled for September 16, 2025.
