Re: Nomination of Guy S. Alameda of Council District 3 to the Water Board.
Aloha Council Chair Inaba and Council Members,
I am pleased to nominate Mr. Guy S. Alameda of Council District 3 to the Water Board.
Born and raised in Hilo, Hawaii, Mr. Alameda is a proud graduate of Hilo High School's Class of
1981. He then enlisted in the United States Army National Guard, demonstrating his
commitment to service and country, and served honorably for over six years.
Over the past 35 years, Mr. Alameda has made significant contributions to Hawaiian Electric,
culminating in his role as a power plant senior supervisor, where he helped manage the entire
island's electrical grid with leadership and expertise.
In retirement, Mr. Alameda is eager to give back to our island community through the Water
Board. As a proud beneficiary of the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands in Keaukaha, he is
an active member and volunteers with the Keaukaha Community Association.
With his professional experience and dedication to community service, Mr. Alameda is an
excellent candidate for the Water BoardAf confirmed, Mr. Alameda's term will end on December
