AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 10, DIVISION 7, SECTION 24-292, SCHEDULE 40, OF THE HAWAI‘I COUNTY CODE 1983 (2016 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO PARKING METER ZONES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I:
SECTION 1. The purpose of this ordinance is to remove the eight-hour parking meter zone located at the Aupuni Center parking lot.
SECTION 2. Chapter 24, article 10, division 7, section 24-292, schedule 40, entitled “8 hour parking meter zones”, of the Hawaiʻi County Code 1983 (2016 Edition, as amended), is amended
by deleting the following listing in subsection (c), “South Hilo”:
“[• Aupuni Center parking lot, specifically marked single row of stalls fronting Kīlauea Avenue, Monday to Friday (excluding holidays) during the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or
as otherwise specified per facility.]”
SECTION 3. Material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. In printing this ordinance, the brackets and the bracketed and stricken material need not be included.
SECTION 4. Severability. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof to any person or circumstance, is held invalid, the invalidity does not affect other provisions
or applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to this end the provisions of this ordinance are severable.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
