In thinking about the past, with Hiroshima and Nagasaki foremost in my mind, I would like to suggest that Hawai'i declare peace and rid the islands of war, of preparations for war, of memorials to war, of bases where people prepare for war, for the equipment and materiel of war -just abandon war altogether -stop the businesses that profit from war, end the industries that make ammunition for war -no more banks that lend financial support for war, no more body bags and no more additions to the almost endless rows of dead. Mahalo nui - bob g "Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current which can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance."
