Subject: Military Madness;
Aloha,
I'm sending this testimony in order to urge people to learn from history about the atomic bombings of
Hiroshima and Nagasaki and thus understand that use of such weapons is simply madness. There is too
much
emphasis on military solutions to deal with the world's problems. Diplomacy and conflict resolution should be
the priorites. Not military madness.
But the United States, as an empire, is not learning from history. It is characteristically behaving like a rogue
nation, pushing provocations and potential confrontations; it it the biggest threat in the world today precisely
because of its chest -thumping, sabre -rattling obsessions with war.
Hawai'i; of course, has been a victim of such military madness. To offer a pathetic one dollar to occupy the
islands militarily is adding insult to injury. The latter being the illegal regime change event against the
Hawaiian nation in 1893. This is like an open wound for Kanaka Maoli that has yet to heal. And the U.S. empire
is doing nothing to resolve the situation when it comes down to it.
U.S. leaders and their supporters have got to grow up, and stop acting like spoiled children having temper
tantrums, when it comes to dealing with the world.
A bi-polar world where the U.S. empire dominates is no longer possible. There is the emergence of a multi-
polar world.
The United States should go beyond its imperial ambitions and start acting sane. The world has had enough of
it.
