The proposed amendment <br />is shown below in Ramseyer format with respect to the contents of Bill No. 64, Draft 2; material <br />to be deleted is bracketed and stricken, and material to be added is underscored. <br />SECTION 1 of Bill No. 64, Draft 2, which amends article VI, chapter 2, section 6-2.2, of the <br />Charter of the County of Hawaii (2024 Edition), is amended to read as follows: <br />"Section 6-2.2. Director and Deputy. <br />(a) The director of public works shall be appointed by the mayor, confirmed by the <br />council and may be removed by the mayor. The director shall have had a minimum <br />of five years of experience in an administrative or managerial capacity, two years of <br />which shall have been in public works, construction or a related field.
