Re: Alexa Russell, et al., vs. County of Hawaii. Civil No. 97-01102 SPK
We respectfully request that the following resolution be assigned to the appropriate
Council member and committee, if necessary, so that, it may be taken up at the next
regularly scheduled County Council meeting:
1. Resolution Adopting the Island of Hawai'i Self-Evaluation and Transition
Plan for Accessibility to Public Facilities.
We further request that the resolution be waived past committee meetings. The
subject matter of this resolution has also been discussed with the County Council during
executive session on April 15, 1998.

Re: Attached Resolution (Adopting the Island of Hawai' i Self Evaluation
and Transition Plan for Accessibility to Public Facilities)
Pursuant to Section 1(e) of Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Council of the County of
Hawaii, this written approval is submitted in regards to the attached resolution, waiving said
referral from the Committee on Public Works & Parks in order that appropriate action can be
taken by the Council.
In reviewing the contents of the referral, it is deemed advisable that such a waiver be granted.
