BILLS FOR ORDINANCES Bill 68: INITIATES AN AMENDMENT TO ARTICLE VI OF THE CHARTER OF THE (Draft 3) COUNTY OF HAWAI`I(2024 EDITION), RELATING TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A DEPARTMENT OF BUILDING Establishes a new Department of Building with the authority to regulate building and construction-related activities; creates a Director of Building position appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the Council; and establishes a Building Codes Commission to advise the Mayor, Council, and Director on building and construction-related matters.
