The SMASH FEST is designed to be a premier event that draws participants and visitors from around the world, enhancing the economy of Hawaii Island through sports tourism., with a special focus on volleyball and the music of Hawaii. Set against the breathtaking landscapes of the islands, the festival brings the spirit of "ALOHA" to everyone involved. This annual event will be held during the first week of June,, primarily at William "Billy" Kenoi District Park and PZihoa High and Intermediate School, with P5hoa Elementary and Keonepoko Elementary serving as backup sites. Hawaiian cultural performances and music will complement an exciting schedule of competitions, clinics, and community activities. Tentatively, officials" training for ages 14 and up will begin on May 31, followed by a youth volleyball tournament for ages 10-14 from June 13. On June 3,, participants can join a skills clinic with Olympian Courtney Thomas and a coach"s clinic with Tama Miyashiro. The adult volleyball tournament for ages 18 and up will run from June 4-6.
