We aim to divert at least 15,000 pounds of surplus food from landfills annually, ensuring it reaches those in need instead. Community Engagement: We will establish a direct communication channel through a text alert system. This system will notify at least 200 residents about fresh produce availability at their local stands. By the end of the first year, we expect to engage with at least 1,000 community members who will utilize the stands regularly. Through these outcomes., we aim to create a model that not only addresses immediate food insecurity but also builds long-term solutions to hunger and community well-being in Council District 7.
