A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO LŌKAHI TREATMENT
CENTERS FOR ITS SUBSTANCE ABUSE, MENTAL HEALTH, DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, AND ANGER MANAGEMENT TREATMENT PROGRAMS IN PĀHOA.
WHEREAS, Lōkahi Treatment Centers is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide high-quality, culturally appropriate mental health and substance abuse treatment
services for adults, adolescents, and children on the Big Island; and
WHEREAS, Lōkahi Treatment Centers is requesting funds to cover treatment curriculum and workbooks for clients, writing materials for clients, urinalysis testing supplies, lab fees,
external computer tablets, phone system upgrades, folding chairs, printer, fax machine, office supplies, tables, which will serve a public purpose by benefiting, improving, or promoting
the interests of public health and welfare of the people and the environment, and victims of health or social crises; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I that, in accordance with section 2-139(a)(2)(C) of the Hawaiʻi County Code 1983 (2016 Edition, as amended), Contingency Relief
funds from Council District 5 are hereby transferred to the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney to provide a grant to Lōkahi Treatment Centers for the expenses and purposes identified
in “Exhibit A,” a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, in the following amount as set forth below:

authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this resolution.
