COUNTY OF HAWAI`I <br />STATE OF HAWAI`I <br />RESOLUTION NO. 361 25 <br />A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br />AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br />DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO THE 12 STEP OHANA <br />CLUB OF KONA, INC., TO ASSIST WITH EXPENSES FOR ITS CLEAN AND SOBER <br />COMMUNITY SUPPORT PROGRAM IN NORTH KONA. <br />WHEREAS, The 12 Step Ohana Club of Kona, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit <br />organization whose mission is to be a place of aloha, connection, and recovery where everyone <br />. in our recovery Ohana is safe and welcome; and <br />WHEREAS, The 12 Step Ohana Club of Kona, Inc., is requesting funds to assist with <br />refreshments, including food and beverages for recovery meetings and sober events, ensuring <br />that those in early recovery who cannot easily afford them are still able to engage fully, and to <br />purchase recovery literature, such as Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, and Twelve <br />Steps and Twelve Traditions, with free copies available for individuals who are unable to afford <br />them, which will serve a public purpose by benefiting, improving, or promoting the interests of <br />culture and the arts, needs of the poor, youth, the aged, those with physical or emotional <br />disabilities, public health and welfare of the people and the environment, and victims of health or <br />social crises; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I that, in <br />accordance with section 2-139(a)(2)(C) of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2016 Edition, as <br />amended), Contingency Relief funds from Council District 8 are hereby transferred to the <br />Department of Liquor Control to provide a grant to The 12 Step Ohana Club of Kona, Inc., for <br />the expenses and purposes identified in "Exhibit A," a copy of which is attached hereto and <br />incorporated herein by reference, in the following amount as set forth below: <br />
