COUNTY OF HAWAIII <br />STATE OF HAWAI`I <br />RESOLUTION NO. 3G8 25 <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF LATER FISCAL <br />YEARS TO ENTER A MULTI -YEAR AGREEMENT FOR PROFESSIONAL <br />SERVICES RELATING TO THE IMPLEMENTATION OF A CAFETERIA PLAN <br />UNDER SECTION 125 OF THE INTERNAL REVENUE CODE TO BE USED BY THE <br />DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES. <br />WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the Charter of the County of Hawaii (hereinafter "the <br />Charter") provides, in part, that "any contract, lease or other obligation requiring the payment of <br />funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year shall be made <br />or approved by resolution"; and <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Human Resources (hereinafter "DHR") wishes to enter a <br />multi year agreement for professional services relating to the furnishing and implementation of a <br />"Cafeteria Plan" under Section 125 of the Internal Revenue Code, as amended; and <br />WHEREAS, the "Cafeteria Plan" plan consists primarily of health insurance premiums <br />to be designated by the County as eligible for inclusion and two flexible spending accounts: a <br />health flexible spending account and a dependent care flexible spending account; and <br />WHEREAS, this agreement will have an initial contract period of one (1) year and six <br />(6) months, with options for four subsequent one-year periods for services needed beyond the <br />initial contract period; and <br />WHEREAS, DHR estimates the annual cost of this agreement to be approximately <br />$12,000; now, therefore, <br />
