Re: Comm. No. 510/Res. No. 318-25
Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 318-25, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 318-25, transmitted by Acting Mass Transit Administrator Zachary Bergum via
Communication No. 510, dated September 3, 2025, authorizes the Mass Transit Agency to award a
grant to People for Active Transportation Hawaii.
This resolution provides $240,000 of grant funds for the HIBIKE bike share program to cover
day-to-day operations and maintenance.
Committee Chair Matt Kdneali`i-Kleinfelder spoke in support of this measure.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 318-25, and
recommends its adoption.
