r COUNTY OF HAWAI`I STATE OF HAWAII of RESOLUTION NO. 3 s 8 25 A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO HAMAKUA HEALTH CENTER, INC., TO ASSIST WITH EXPENSES FOR ITS PANIOLA IN PALAKA BREAST CANCER AWARENESS COMMUNITY EVENT. WHEREAS, Hamakua Health Center, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide quality healthcare that is responsive to the needs of its patients and community; and WHEREAS, Paniola in Palaka is a community event hosted by Hamakua Health Center, Inc., to promote breast cancer awareness; and WHEREAS, Hamakua Health Center, Inc., is requesting funds to assist with expenses for refreshments, radio announcements, and decorations for its Paniola in Palaka event, which will serve a public purpose by benefiting, improving, or promoting culture and the arts, educational concerns, the needs of the poor, youth, the aged, those with physical or emotional disabilities, the public health and welfare of the people and the environment, victims of crimes, and victims of health or social crises; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I that, in accordance with section 2-139(a)(2)(C) of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2016 Edition, as amended), Contingency Relief funds from Council District 9 are hereby transferred to the Department of Liquor Control to provide a grant to Hamakua Health Center, Inc., for the expenses and purposes identified in "Exhibit A," a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, in the following amount as set forth below: FUND: General AMOUNT OF APPROPRIATION: $1,500 OUT AND FROM: 1010-11-10191 Clerk-CouncilSVC— Contingency Relief $1,500 CREDITED TO: 1010-21-25139 Department of Liquor Control $1,500 Public Programs 530115 Misc.
