COUNTY OF HAWAI`I <br />STATE OF HAWAI`I <br />RESOLUTION NO. 380 25 <br />A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br />AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br />DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR THE HAWAI°I FIRE DEPARTMENT'S <br />OCEAN SAFETY OPERATIONS BRANCH TO PURCHASE STORAGE UNITS. <br />WHEREAS, the Hawaii Fire Department (HFD) provides fire protection and <br />suppression, pre -hospital emergency medical services, land and sea search and rescue, hazardous <br />materials response, ocean safety, fire prevention, and public education for the County of <br />Hawaii; and <br />WHEREAS, HFD's Ocean Safety Operations Branch is tasked with the development <br />and delivery of ocean safety operations and public safety education programs utilizing a team of <br />highly skilled and dedicated Water Safety Officers; and <br />WHEREAS, HFD is requesting funds for two shipping containers, which will serve as <br />storage units, allowing for more efficient access to essential medical, rescue, and communication <br />equipment; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAPI that <br />Contingency Relief funds from Council District 3 will be appropriated to the Hawaii Fire <br />Department's Ocean Safety Operations Branch to purchase storage units. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby <br />transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />FUND: General <br />AMOUNT OF <br />APPROPRIATION: $13,980 <br />OUT AND FROM: <br />1010-11-10191 Clerk -Council SVC — Contingency Relief <br />CREDITED TO: <br />1010-21-62806 Hawaii Fire Department <br />Ocean Safety Equipment <br />570480 Misc.
