Aloha, 1 am voting against the Hawaii GP 2045, and Bill66 for the following reasons; 1. We should not be focusing on a climate crisis because there is no such thing. Climate changes are natural, not dangerous or volatile. A narrative has been falsely pushed not only by our government but by the media and now here in Hawaii by the Governor and also through the Office of Sustainability, Climate, Equity and Resilience. The latter of which is a misguided and illegitimate arm of our local government and will prove to be a very dangerous entity that "We the people" did not vote for or implement. 2. By using/instituting weather manipulation techniques these questionable entities say we are in a climate crisis and so it may seem however, for example if we look at the past few years of fires that occured in California, Maui HI and again in Los Angeles CA we know that these fires are not natural. They are also being blamed on climate change but were most assuredly caused by weather manipulation. Have you ever heard of a fire storm? Of course not, it was made up to justify the climate crisis regarding the fire on Maui just 2 years ago. 3. Here on the Big Island we already enjoy massive green spaces on our landscape. We do not need to rezone any land to "Natural" and make it unavailable for future farmers, native Hawaiian foraging/hunting/fishing or housing. One thing this Hawaii GP 2045 needs to implement is a way to decrease our dependence on importingfood and institute more farms for supporting our local economy. 50 years ago we raised more than 50% of the food we needed, now we import more than that. In conclusion, we need a General Plan that will help our unique needs to support local development that preserves the Hawaiian sustainability ideas. We need a plan that will protect local businesses and help them thrive. We need our County to support the values of "We the people" to flourish and grow for the future of our children.
