I am writing to you to express my heartfelt concern and fear about the future of our Hawaii Island if
this County General plan is passed as it is. This plan never could have been written for our County
with any concern or consideration for our people here on Hawaii County. This is an AGENDA with a
vague outcome at best for our future and future for our children's future. Today we look at
sustainability. Of primary concern is the use of this nonexplicit word. What does sustainability really
mean to citizens? How is it illustrated in the County Plan? Please clarify what that exactly looks like
when it comes to the future of Hawaii County. Are we to maintain the roads, agriculture, feed each
person off the land? What does this word mean in the context of this plan. The people deserve
explicit examples of what sustainability means to us for the future. The County plan make states that
create a clear picture of what this County Plan 2045 is meant to accomplish. So far, this County Plan
is just a bunch of words enabling the take over of citizen rights as we know them per the US
Constitution. This plan is full of nonsense ideas that shifts of power from the power of the people. On
this Constitution Day please dismiss this plan that currently disregards the concerns of and for the
people of Hawaii County.
