Subject: Testimony General Plan 2045
The General Plan 2045 attempts to strip hardworking homeowners and local communities of
rights to manage their own land and neighborhoods and turn it over to the political actors and
"stakeholders." Remove that language. Taxpaying workers' —your constituents'— rights
MUST BE protected at all costs.
Support for diverse agriculture in the hands of farmers —not corporations —must also be
protected. The county has repeatedly screwed up so-called conservation efforts. The county
must get out of the way of farmers and communities engaging in their God-given rights to
feed and house themselves. No changes in zoning!
The General Plan 2045 reads like a hostile land takeover and disenfranchisement of the
people who want to live here peacefully and in harmony with the environment. Who do you
serve, if not the people who voted you into office?
