SUBJECT: Proposed Amendment to Bill No. 83, Draft 2; An Ordinance Amending Chapter
20 of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2016 Edition, as Amended), Relating to
Plastic and Polystyrene Waste
Transmitted herewith is a proposed amendment to Bill No. 83, Draft 2.
SECTION 5 of Bill No. 83, Draft 2, which amends chapter 20, article 5, of the Hawaii County
Code 1983 (2016 Edition, as amended), is amended by adding a new subsection (f) to Section
20-05-04, to read as follows (material to be added is underscored):
"( An f�provider with ten or fewer employees shall be exempt from the
provisions of this article until January 1, 2031."
Due to the limited scope of this amendment, a copy of the new draft of this bill that would result
if this proposed amendment were to be -adopted is not attached.
