Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 99, reports as follows:
Bill No. 99, transmitted by Sustainability, Climate, Equity and Resilience Administrator
Laura E. C. Acasio via Communication No. 586, dated October 17, 2025, amends Ordinance
No. 25-45, as amended, the Operating Budget of the County of Hawaii for the fiscal year ending
June 30, 2026.
This bill appropriates revenues in the Federal Grants — Bipartisan Infrastruct Law Coastal Zone
Management Habitat Protection and Restoration account ($1,901,521); and appropriates the same to
the Bipartisan Infrastruct Law Coastal Zone Management Habitat Protection and Restoration account.
Funds would be used to restore eleven and a half acres of deforested land in Puapua`a Iki in North Kona.
There was no discussion on the matter.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 99, and recommends its
passage on first reading.
