Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 97, reports as follows:
Bill No. 97, transmitted by Civil Defense Administrator Talmadge Magno via Communication
No. 575, dated October 3, 2025, amends Ordinance No. 25-45, as amended, the Operating Budget
of the County of Hawaii for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026.
This bill appropriates revenues in the Federal Grants — State Homeland Security Program Fiscal Year
2021 account ($2,189.48); and appropriates the same to the State Homeland Security Program Fiscal
Year 2021 account, for a total appropriation of $622,189.48. Funds will be used to support the
waste -water bio-hazard mitigation project.
Civil Defense Administrative Officer Bill Hansen was present and provided a brief overview of this
project.
There was no further discussion on the matter.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 97, and recommends its
passage on first reading.
