COMMITTEE ON FINANCE
Re: Comm. No. 585/Res. No. 375-25
Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 375-25, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 375-25, transmitted by Human Resources Director Sommer J. Tokihiro via
Communication No. 585, dated October 16, 2025, creates one Human Resources Specialist II
Position for the Department of Human Resources.
This resolution establishes one new position to provide additional support to the department's
Classification and Pay Division.
Human Resources (HR) Director Sommer J. Tokihiro and Human Resources Classification and Pay
Division Manager Jamielyn Martines were present in chambers. Ms. Martines shared that this position
will enable them to assist each department in addressing its HR needs. Ms. Tokihiro stated that they
hope to establish this to create a more proactive approach to addressing each department's needs rather
than their current reactive approach.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 375-25, and
recommends its adoption.
