SUBJECT:
Proposed Amendment to Bill No. 63, Draft 2; AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING CHAPTER 25, ARTICLE 5, OF THE HAWAI`I COUNTY
CODE 1983 (2016 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO
DWELLINGS.
Transmitted herewith is a proposed amendment to Bill No. 63, Draft 2. The proposed
amendment is shown below in Ramseyer format with respect to the contents of Bill No. 63, Draft
2; material to be deleted is bracketed and stricken. Due to the limited scope of this proposed
amendment, a copy of the new draft of this bill that would result if the amendment were adopted
is not attached.
SECTION 2 of Bill No. 63, Draft 2, which amends chapter 25, article 5, division 13, section 25-
5-132 of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2016 Edition, as amended) by adding the following
paragraphs in subsection (a), is amended to read as follows:
"() Dwellings, double -family or duplex, provided that the maximum density is
one thousand two hundred and fifty square feet of land area per rentable unit
or dwelling unit."
"() Dwellings, multiple -family, provided that the maximum density is one
thousand two hundred and fifty square feet of land area per rentable unit or
dwelling unit."
