A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION
TO PURCHASE SUPPLIES FOR THE 2025 MAGIC OF THE SEASONS HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE EVENT.
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation, Culture and Education Division provides educational and community-based activities and events to celebrate, perpetuate, and foster the
appreciation of our islands’ rich multicultural heritage in the arts, history, and the humanities; and
WHEREAS, the 2025 Magic of the Seasons – Holiday Open House event is scheduled for December 8th through 12th, 2025, at the Hawaiʻi County Building for the community to enjoy free of
charge; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation is requesting funds to assist with the purchase of new holiday decorations and supplies, which will serve a public purpose by benefiting,
improving, or promoting the interests of educational concerns, culture and the arts, the needs of the poor, youth, the aged, those with physical or emotional disabilities, and the public
health and welfare of our island community; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I that Contingency Relief funds from Council District 5 will be appropriated to the Department of Parks and Recreation to purchase
supplies for the 2025 Magic of the Seasons Holiday Open House event.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaiʻi hereby transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:
